College coursework

Official college transcripts from all institutions attended are required for admission. Students must have a cumulative college-level GPA of a 2.4 on a 4-point scale, from a regionally accredited institution, to be considered for admission. Successful candidates are expected to have completed remedial coursework prior to enrollment at FLC and be ready for college-level math and English courses.

*College transcripts must be sent directly to Fort Lewis College from the institution attended. They may be mailed or sent through electronic transcripts services.

High school coursework

For transfer applicants who have completed fewer than 24 college-level semester credits prior to application, official final high school transcripts are required. Transcripts may be sent by your school via mail, fax, or through Naviance (if available at your school). A homeschool transcript should include subjects and grades for each year. This requirement may also be met with a high school equivalency certificate or diploma score (such as the GED, HiSET, or TASC). A graduation date must be included on the transcript.

ACT or SAT test scores

For transfer applicants who have completed fewer than 24 college-level semester credits prior to application, official ACT or SAT scores are required. Official test scores may be sent directly from the testing agency or from your high school. FLC does not require the essay portion of either ACT or SAT. Fort Lewis College’s testing codes are:

  • ACT: 0510
  • SAT: 4310

For students who are 23 or older or have been out of high school for 5 years, Accuplacer scores may be submitted in lieu of ACT or SAT scores. Accuplacer is a college placement exam that determines skills in reading, writing, and math. The test is available at Fort Lewis College’s testing center and may also be offered at your local community college. Learn more about Accuplacer at FLC.

Application fee

A non-refundable $40 application fee is required to process your application. When you apply online you will be asked to submit a credit or debit card, or you may submit without payment and send a check to the Admission Office payable to “Fort Lewis College.” Please ensure your full name and date of birth are included in the comment section on the check.
