We are committed to providing Colorado residents from all economic backgrounds the opportunity to pursue a four-year degree. With the FLC Tuition Promise, we will cover the tuition for any admitted Colorado resident whose family income is $60,000 or less.
First, we will use federal, state, or institutional grants and scholarships—like the Pell Grant, Colorado Student Grant, or College Opportunity Fund to cover tuition. If your award through these programs does not equal the full cost of your tuition, we will make up the difference. If tuition increases, your financial aid will increase with it.
Our commitment applies to the Fall and Spring semesters each academic year starting in Fall 2020. Summer does not apply. We will use a combination of federal, state and institutional funds to pay your tuition. Loans and work-study funding will not be included.
All federal, state and institutional gift aid will go toward tuition. Institutional gift aid includes funds received from:
FLC Tuition Promise funds will be awarded by the Financial Aid Office after all other funds have been applied. This grant will be adjusted as new federal, state or institutional funds are awarded. Funds will be awarded to meet 100% of the student’s share of in-state tuition.
